ID Tag Airborne
The commemorative dog tag par excellence, as a key-ring or pendant.
Beyond the motif, it's a story to remember.
The 101st Airborne distinguished itself during the Normandy landings on June 6, 1944 by parachuting soldiers behind German enemy lines.
The 101st still exists today as the 101st Air Assault Division. It is present in most theaters of operations requiring air offensives, as was the case in Iraq and Syria. This insignia was originally a shoulder insignia, i.e. embroidered on the trellis jacket.
